Adriana Scripcariu is an art historian and founder, together with her husband, the sculptor Virgil Scripcariu, of the Museum-Atelier-School in Piscu, Ilfov County. Starting from the local craft, pottery, with a history in the geographical area dating back to the Neolithic, the two of them have created a modern and dynamic museum dedicated to this art, in an attempt to prevent the disappearance of the craft. In 2018, the two shared the experience of creating this space with community members from Țigănești, Republic of Moldova. They organized workshops for children, themed on ancient Romanian civilization and crafts, they conducted anthropological research and created the village museum in Țigănești, restoring the building of the old village school with the aid of traditional techniques and the involvement of the local community.
