Bogdan Crețu is a critic, literary historian, essayist and publicist, and is currently a professor at the Department of Romanian Literature, Faculty of Letters, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iași. Since 2013 he is the director of the Institute of Romanian Philology “A. Philippide” of the Romanian Academy, Iași Branch. He has also been awarded a number of prizes, among which we mention the “Excellence Award in Literary Criticism” of the National Foundation for Science and Art, Romanian Academy (2009) and the “Titu Maiorescu” Prize of the Romanian Academy (2016). At the same time, he is the author of several volumes and has published more than 100 studies in periodicals and academic volumes, in the country and abroad and more than 700 articles in the national main cultural and academic journals. He currently writes a literary column for the “Observator cultural” magazine.
