Carmen Croitoru is an associate professor at the National University of Theatre and Cinematography in Bucharest, with 20 years of experience in teaching cultural management. She is the general manager of the National Institute for Cultural Research and Training (NIRCT) within the Ministry of Culture and National Identity, since 2014. Member of several national and international cultural networks, Carmen Croitoru actively participated in the development of cultural management and legislation in Romania. She is the permanent representative of Romania at CDCPP – the Steering Committee for Culture, Heritage and Landscaping within the Council of Europe. She is also a founding member of the Association of Cultural Managers in Romania (ECUMEST) and a member of ENCATC – the European Network of Cultural Management and Policies and of the Europeana Network Association (ENA).
