It is an independent report prepared by Ghenadie Sontu in 2015, within the Compendium program of the Council of Europe. The Compendium of Data and General Trends in European Cultural Policy (COMPENDIUM) is a reference work on European cultural policies, doubled by a system of information and monitoring of cultural policies, tools, debates and trends in this field in Europe.
It presents a permanently updated system, a new edition of the system having already been published. Moreover, the system is constantly expanding to meet new cultural policy challenges, debates and priorities. The Compendium was launched in 1998 by the Council of Europe in partnership with the European Institute for Comparative Cultural Research – ERICarts.
