Florin Ghioca is a journalist, theatre photographer and PR manager at the National Theatre in Bucharest. A theatre critic/theatricist by profession, he has dedicated the last eight years to the largest theatre in Europe (in terms of number of halls) and has managed to carry out numerous succesul projects and PR campaigns.

As a photographer for NTB, he has taken photographs for dozens of theatre premieres, he authored 12 exhibitions in Romania and abroad, being the only Romanian photographer to have exhibited at the famous Sadler’s Wells in London. He was invited to the Winter Festival in Sarajevo, where his photographs were first exhibited at the Preporod Gallery, then at the National Theatre in Sarajevo and the National Art Museum. He made the first exhibitions of theatre photography in virtual 3D space and in water, and was invited to the Shakespeare Festival in Craiova with two exhibitions in parallel. He is the director of the first live 360 performative reading in Romania (with Maia Morgenstern and Mircea Rusu).

In Chișinău he presented photography exhibition “Shylock, the Last Role”, dedicated to Ion Caramitru (2021). His exhibition „Beyond Stage” will be presented in the foyer of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre in 2022, within the framework of the Meeting of  Romanian National Theatres. He has collaborated with the most important publications in Romania, including Libertatea, Cotidianul, Evenimentul Zilei and Adevărul. He has conducted over 1,000 live interviews on the Adevărul Live platform. He has produced communication campaigns and events for festivals such as KinoDiseea Film Festival, Balkanik Festival or NETA International Theatre Festival. He has produced communication campaigns for numerous premieres of the National Theatre in Bucharest. He is the founding president of the International Association of Theatre Photographers (IATP).
